When my son was that young with the reflux, I just let him sleep in his swing. It allowed him to sleep more upright and no worry about him rolling over.

My daughter also had reflux. There was a period when it was so bad that I would secure her in her infant car seat. The pediatrician said it was a great and as long as she was strapped in, it was safe.

Hi! Sorry to hear he's having reflux... thats no fun! (no fun for you either) Do you swaddle hime when he sleeps? if he doesn't mind being swaddled then he wouldnt be able to move so much especially if the wedge you have has the sleep positioners. The one I have is a wedge but it has the triangles on either side that hold them in one spot... My oldest daughter didn't like her arms wrapped up when she was swaddled but i still wrapped the blanket aroung her under her armpits. Also (and I've suggested this to everyone so sorry everyone for repeating myself!) we use the Angel Care monitors... they have a motion censor (and sound also) that monitors movement and breathing. (it has a square pad that goes under the baby's crib mattress) If they go longer than 20 seconds then an alarm goes off so you know to go check them. They are wonderful! I hope this helps! Good luck!

Have you tried the "Nap Nanny?"

Are you swaddling him? That generally helps with the moving around. Putting a fan on in the room helps reduce the risk of sids because it helps air flow and cool the room down.

My 4 month old has acid reflux. Try to have him sleep upright in a swing, bouncy seat, or car seat. My daughter has slept in a swing since she was about 5 weeks old and that, along with the meds help her sleep a lot better. Good luck!

My son would wake up screaming when we tried to get him to sleep in his crib. Threw up a few times, more than what should happen when nursing. We ended up putting him in his swing to sleep. He ended up in there for the first 6 months of his life. His ped said it was perfectly fine. I felt better than having him on the wedge because i knew he wasn't going anywhere.

Now my sil was just saying that my nephew was doing the same thing but she put him on medication. He's 6.5 weeks. I'm not sure I totally agree with that. Not that I don't give my kids meds (both have allergies so they get zyrtec for that and my son now has seizures so he's medicated for that)...I just don't think at 6.5 weeks a baby needs that type of med if there's an alternative...wedge or putting them in a swing/bouncer so they are elevated.

My son grew out of it around 6-7 months and we were able to move him to his crib.

Good luck.

My daughter had reflux from the time she was 1 month old. We used to get her to sleep in her bouncy seat secured in of course. The pediatrician actually recommended that or the infant car seat. WHen she got a bit older and moved around more we put a blanket rolled up under her crib and then a towel rolled up under her sheet (to make a U shape) so she wouldn't slip down. That was the only thing that worked for us.
