Yes.
Young babies/kids, do this when excited.
They scream.
They don't have, sophisticated ways of communicating yet, nor can they talk like adults, yet.
They dont' even know social protocol yet, either.
I got a 1 year old girl who is just walking now.She excited whenever she sees children surrounding, she almost screams at them. From the past 2 weeks, whenever she excited or nervous, she is putting her index finger and the middle finger croossed and screaming. Is this normal ..? She had febrile seizures after her birth..And now she is on medication.
I'm worried whether this is a normal behaviour or not..?

She sounds perfectly normal. She's just really excited about seeing other children to play with and socialize with and the way she's expressing her happiness and joy and excitement and even nervousness is by screaming. She sounds like a cutie.
It sounds normal enough... Personally, I wouldn't worry about it as long as she is otherwise developing OK and she is only doing this mostly when she seems excited or "worked up".
That said... mention it to the pediatrician at her next check up anyways. Given her history I am sure they will understand your comcern. (If is seems really odd... try getting a video of it to show the ped. exactly what you are talking about)
"Weird hand gestures or facial gestures" were mentioned on a routine development questionnaire at my 2 years old's 2 year check-up. I asked them what that "meant" (I mean all kids do weird stuff sometimes) and my doctor said that some kids will contort their hands in odd positions if they have other developmental issues, BUT it isn't enough of a symptom just by itself to signal a problem.... also "on occasion" is different than "constantly".
Anyways... don't get too worked up about it... remember it and keep an eye out for any other odd habits, or issues! Chances are your baby just doesn't know how to express her joy and excitement yet in a more "normal" way!
Good Luck!

Yeah, my 2 year old was doing that. She would get excited and scream when we go to the park and she sees other kids. It's normal. Is she an only child? May be why too.. they aren't lonely but they get excited when they see other kids. The finger crossing thing is just a quirk she has. My daughter puts her arms in the air or puts her arms out.
It sounds like normal behavior to me. My (now 5yr old) would get excited and scream and my 1yr old does it too. It's like she's excited to see someone her size. lol.
That being said. I'm curious why she's on medication for febrile seizures. Were her seizures prolonged and she wouldn't snap out of it? I only ask because my oldest has suffered from febrile seizures...to date she has had 13. All neurology reports and other tests have come back conclusive that it is febrile seizures. She is not on any medication for it. She was presribed a shot if her seizures last longer than 5 minutes...but I was told if her seizures lasted that long then it was probably not febrile. Anyhow- I was just curious as I was told by several doctors that for febrile seizures they do not put you on any medication...you just have to ride it out and keep her comfortable.
