Hello!

I am thinking about canceling my gym membership because in the summer it is always so busy and was wondering what are the best workout videos to use. I don't want to have to workout for an hour. I don't have the time. I need a short and effective workout that I can do at home. Any suggestions?

I don't go to the gym in the summer because I love the sun and being outside.

My workout goal is just to stay fit, I am not looking to lose weight.

I enjoy walking a lot. I will walk with or without my dogs and listen to the iphone/pod. It is relaxing and I get fresh air.

When dd was younger, I put her in the stroller and took off walking.

Right now I am not having fun walking because of a broken ankle, :( I find that I miss it a lot.

Also, some roller rinks have special fees so moms can rollerskate while pushing baby along. We loved that.

C. - Try Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. You can purchase at Target for $14.99 (or maybe less than that now). But it's a 20 min. workout that consists of cardio, strength and abs done in a circuit format. I am a single mother of 2 boys so I HAD to find something that I could do at home but was "do-able" with everything that I have going on...I'm not quite through the 30days but already I feel my endurance and strength increasing. It also says you can lose up to 20lbs...in one month. Sounds like a winner to me! Let me know how you like it!

Hello,

I like the Firm DVD's also. I have Ultimate Fat Burning and it runs about 39 minutes.
I also really like Leslie Sansone's Walk Slim Fast and Firm, 4 Really Big Miles.
I like it because if I only have time for 1 mile, it takes me about 20 minutes with a cool down. You can do all 4 or 1 or 2, just whatever you have time for.

The Firm DVDs are great. They're 30 minutes and you start seeing results almost immediately. Good luck!

I use 2 different "hard core" systems. Both of them are from beachbody.com... P90X and Turbo Jam. I really like both and kind of interchange them.
