You'll be hit with all kinds of "wonderful opportunities" for working at home on this post. I'm not into MLM's but some people love them
I have an only child and when she started school in 2000, I was at the school volunteering all the time. There was a shortage of substitute teachers and the principal asked me to apply. I am college degreed and fit the type for teacher.
It was perfect for me, I set my own hours, I was at the same school as my daughter, and I was involved with the school.
I still substitute on occasion for my "mental break" from working at home. My sub jobs are pre planned, I don't have the last minute calls, I only sub at the school where my daughter was a student, if I chose to, I would be at that school subbing 2-4 days a week. I can't do that and manage our business so I sub about once a week or so and more on days when they have the testing, etc.
You can also sub at Mother's Day out programs too!
