Is this a real company? What kind of work is it? Do have to pay up front cost? Is there anybody working for this company?

Are u having any sucess with this company? How much money do u make a month?

I am a stay-at home mom, not by choice, but because daycare is way too expensive for us right now. i really want to help my huband out with the bills. Is there anybody that can make me feel confortable about even looking into this company?

I was going to do it. I signed up and backed out. I think they had a $60 or so minimum that you had to spend per month. If you don't submit an order of things you need, they randomly send you $60 worth of stuff. That royally ticked my husband and myself off, so I cancelled. I also didn't care for the products that they sent me (smell, ingredients etc.) Seems like you have to get A LOT of people signed up underneath you, or you don't make much money.

With any of these kind of MLM's you have to ask yourself,"Do I want to shill my friends and family all the time". Because that is the only way you make money.
I would babysit, cut coupon's, change my driving habits, whatever.....before I did this.

A friend of a friend, does Melaluca... and they only get to keep 5% of what they make... AND they have to, hit a certain dollar amount each month, in sales... it seemed to be a pretty steep amount, they had to make, EACH month. This friend, then calls up all her "customers" and asks them if they will be putting in orders for the month.. so she can hit her 'required' sales. EACH month.

As far as I know all the work at home things are just scams. Too good to be true basically. Work is work, that's why we dont like it much. I sure wish we could make money answering posts here, I'd be rich, lol.

Work at Home United is Melaleuca.
I was a Melaleuca customer for 5 years and had the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I really thought that the company was what I was looking for in eco friendly products but I was sorely disappointed.
Did you know that even Melaleuca reps are unable to know exactly what the products contain?
The products are really not that great (my son and myself actually had chemical burns from two of the products) and I had horrible problems with the customer service. Many of my products came with the seal broken so the contents soaked the rest of the products I ordered.
I see on this site all the time that the products are 100% guaranteed money back and it's simply NOT TRUE. I was denied money back......just forced to order another product to keep my monthy point value up.

Melaleuca documented all the problems that we had and yet was shocked when we cancelled. The woman who signed me up called in a panic, trying to get me to reinstate my membership so she wouldn't lose the income.

My advice is to become a customer first. Don't sell a product that you don't absolutely love. Some people love it, but I hear more and more about people cancelling their memberships.
I, personally, want a better product.

Good luck!

Edit* I just read a response that said that the Melaleuca prices beat dept. store brands. That is not entirely true. Some of the products only work well when paired with other Melaleuca products. The company recommends mixing several of their cleaning products together for optimal results. Every time I called the company with concern that the product wasn't working, they would say to use more. Melaleuca became more of a drain on our finances than a help.

While some of the products are really good: like the cinnamon tooth polish, many are not, like the hair care and the food. At least IMO, I did it for a few months when I was pregnant, two years ago. It cost me more then I made from it, mostly because I wasn't in love with the products and after the 1 or 2 hundred dollars it cost me each month to meet my minimum order, it just wasn't worth it in the end and I had to cancel... it would probably work better for someone who has the additional money to do an advertising campaign and gets to use the products before deciding if they are worthy of your sponsorship.

I am seriously considering this company that I was recently introduced to: Pink Papaya, they list all of the ingredients for each product, where Melaleuca has "proprietary ingredients" which I had an issue with...

Pink Papaya is cosmetics and personal care products that I wouldn't mind putting in my mouth- they don't have nasty chemicals. The thing that's really good is that there's no minimum order, so if you sell nothing you loose nothing also the sample kit is awesome, the products are worth $500 for $99 or $1000 for $199- lots of people apparently get the sample kit just as a really inexpensive way to get all the products- at least you know how much your initial expenses are going to be up-front.

With both of these companies you are doing sales, Melaleuca has motivational conference calls and encourages you to do advertising on Craigslist etc. Pink Papaya has a system for doing parties- like I think Shaklee and Amway? not sure who. I have nothing to gain from Pink Papaya, just something I'm thinking about getting into, here's my friend's site: http://www.pinkpapayaparty.com/sweetcaroline

I've really been enjoying the products that I decided to order after her party...

the best thing that got me a message from hubbs was a candle with massage oil for wax: so you light it and let it burn for a while and later it's a warmed oil- that was nice :)

Good Luck finding something that's going to work well for you!

I don't know much about that company, but look around. Just becareful because there are alot of scams. I was with The Limu Company for a year and loved it. The only reason I'm not with them is because I am a stay at home by choice but I home school and baby sit, also my husband works second shift and I just don't have time to do much at all. However, I do plan on signing back up with them as soon as my husband get on first shift. If your crafty at all check out ETSY.com, it's like ebay for crafters. But don't get to discouraged, there are good comp. out there, not all are scams. Think of avon or mary kay, they're not scams at all. Just check out anything first.

I looked into all kinds of at-home companies, last year. If I remember right, it is selling Melaluca products and it involved investing money to get started. They want you to buy Melaluca products and refer friends. You get commission, for what your referrals buy.

what type of job did you have before you stayed home with your kids? What kind of skills did you use? Do you have great computer skills or a great telephone voice or an ability to review and invoices for errors? Think about things you do well and what type of company might be interested in hiring someone with those skills. Right now there are a lot of companies whose business is starting to improve a little, but they are reluctant to hire more full time workers because they don't know what the economy or tax structure is going to do to small business. After you figure out what you are good at, start asking all your friends and neighbors, relatives, church group, school group, etc. if they have any ideas or contacts you could talk to about a job you could do from home. Or even work one day a week at the office and the rest of the time at home!! Good luck!

I work with this company, - They are my support team. I just started as a business- but i have been shopping with Melaleuca since Jan. I love the products, and I have personally commited to spend a certain amount with them each month in return for preferred customer benefits. But anyone can shop from their online/catalog store without any commitment- and no monthly min. There are alot of strange misconceptions/misrepresentations that have sometimes been caused by people who feel they are 'rivals' perhaps, and others by bad representation (claiming this is a all natural or all organic). As tempted as I am to address each of the misunderstanding in some of the replies below- I encourage you to go to one of their live overviews. This way you can get all the facts and decide for yourself! It will be worth your time! I have sent you a msg with further facts.

Yes. Work At Home United is a real team of representatives who work at home. Some do it part time and some full time. I currently work part time w/ them in addition to working a full time position outside the home, with the goal to become stay/work at home full time.

WAHU does not charge you anything upfront. To be ethical, you have to be a customer first and your costs are only that of the products you use and since they are all products you already buy (household products) it is no new money. I have completely converted my home and LOVE the products and am relieved to be rid of the all the nasty chemicals that were in my home.

Some people start faster than others and have better success than others. The amount you make varies (based on your hours, your activity, and promotion). You really need to make contact and hear/see a presentation because there is a lot of information (all of which is FREE and requires NO commitment). If you don't already have a WAHU partner you can contact, feel free to contact me:

PS...it is not a MLM like one poster suggested.
