I agree that work at home jobs are hard to find. I have one, but started working it in the office and then over the years, sold the home-office idea to the company.

I also do direct-sales with BeautiControl and I like that as well.

You might want to think FLEXIBLE rather than work at home. My friend is a Financial Planner for Primerica and the training was provided free. She works the hours and appts. she wants, of course you want to do alot so you can make alot of money.

I'm a work at home mom. I have a 22 month old and a 5 month old so it was really important to me to be able to stay at home with my children, daycare is so expensive and it's not something I ever wanted to do once I had children.

In August I became a jeweler with Premier Designs Jewelry. They are a local company out of Las Colinas and it's amazing. The company is nationwide and we do home shows for jewelry. It's something that sells itself. All you do is wear the product and your getting business.

I was never one that thought I would get into a direct sales company but I love it. The company is so great and so supportive. We have monthly trainings that are so much fun and you meet the most amazing women. The stories are wonderful to hear.

I have a work at home business that is wonderful. But, I just wanted to offer some tips - work at home businesses are much different than work at home jobs. I have had my business for about 8 months now and it is a real business, I have no boss or set time schedule, I can pick up and go out whenever I want. On the flip side, I also earn comission only checks, by not having a boss, you have to be disciplined enough to work to earn your money. I do very well with my business, but it is work and my drive is to stay home with my 3 yr. old. It has worked out beautifully for us and I feel so lucky. Jobs that allow you to work from home are rare, if existent at all, I searched and searched, so if you find one, pass it along to me too!
