Has anyone purchased the Schoolfolio all-in-one system to store your children's school artwork, papers, etc? It looks great, but I'd sure like to hear from other moms. Thanks.

What can I do next?

I haven't used it but it looks like a rip-off to me. Almost $30 for a simple plastic box? You can get stuff like that -- or even better art storage boxes, racks, shelves, cabinets, etc... at organization/container stores, art supply stores, office supply stores, etc... all probably much cheaper.

This -- http://kiddeluxe.com/alexmyartstoragecase-p-5391.html?lan... is only $18.

Even Pottery Barn Kids is cheaper: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/fd850/index.cfm

Or a mere $13 at The Container Store: http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=...

I haven't used one but I think I would. Sure, I could make one myself, but if I buy the all-in-one system it is already labeled & ready to go. I have a teenager that I wish I had saved her artwork. I never did because I was always looking for the perfect system. I have a 2yo & would like to keep his artwork & mementos.

So, I'm going to buy the $80 all-in-one. It is worth a lifetime of memories to me!

I had not heard of this before, so I checked it out online and it looks pretty cool. I just wanted to share what I do to minimize the amount of paper in our house - I have a flatbed scanner and I scan all of my kids artwork they bring home. I had a hard time parting with all of their creations, but I started having to buy big boxes to keep everything in, one for each year. With 3 kids it gets to be a storage nightmare. I realized I was never going back to those boxes to relive those memories, and if I ever did it would be a big dusty mess. So the scanner has worked out great for us, if an artwork is too big for the scanner we take a picture of it. I do save a few of the really nice pieces, but now I don't feel terrible throwing most of it out. My kids even like to do the scanning - one less thing for me to worry about!

Hi K., I used this on one of my tv segments and it's really cool. It slides right under the bed and it's big enough for a ton of papers. I wish it would have dividers for different years, but you can add your own folders for that. I used it for my 4 year old daughter and she can put her papers in herself. I hope that helps.
