S.T.
I was a patient at Women's Health Alliance for over 10 years. I liked all of the doctors I dealt with there. Mathews is hilarious, Norwood is super-caring, Plank is kind and confident, Romberg is sweet. Here's my gripe with them--they are WAY too laid-back with problem pregnancies. I had two dead babies because they had had "plenty of patients with spotting through pregnancy, and it turned out fine" blah, blah, blah. I wonder if they now tell patients who spot and have lots of bleeding at 16 weeks about me and my dead twins. Probably not. They got me through my first troubled pregnancy just fine, by the way, and the care and attention was fantastic. Why they didn't step it up to that same level of care with my next pregnancy, with twins, I will never understand.
So if you just need a well-woman practice for your annual checkups, these guys are great. If you want to start a family and you think you won't have any special issues with pregnancy, I also highly recommend this practice. The doctors are really good, the front staff isn't too terribly annoying, and they make everything easy for you (bring the ultrasound machine to you instead of making you go to another office, for instance). However, if you think you might have complications related to a pregnancy, run to Presby. Seriously. I'd rather be a bit less pampered and have to walk down the hall for my ultrasounds than have people pat me on the head and tell me not to worry about some minor spotting...l.
