Woman OB/GYN

Any good referrals out there for a woman OB/GYN? I need to change doctors, would like a woman this time. Seeking somebody personable, understanding, and maybe 'younger', or at least well versed in modern medicine (concurrent with the changes in medicine over the years). If she had children of her own that would be a plus!

Prefer Aurora area but send me what you have either way, thanks!

What can I do next?

You would love Dr. Christee Oferdahl at MidTown OB/GYN. She is young, has three kids and works in an office that is one of the leaders in obstetrics. They are right next to Rose Medical Center but I am in Aurora too and it takes me 20 minutes to get there. I see Dr. Zarlengo in this office but have seen her when he is unavailable and she just checked out my newborn this last Thursday from Rose. She was fantastic.

When I spoke with the nurse later, she said the Dr. Christee and Dr. Z are the two most requested docs at the hospital if that tells you anything.

Good luck!

You have to go to Dr. Jillian Tyler at Pinnacle Woman's Health. She is the best Ob/Gyn in the entire world! She is in her mid 30's with 2 young kids. She graduated tops in her class at med school. She is super personable and really knows her stuff. She came in on her night off call just to deliver my little guy. She has a wonderful bedside manner. The other doctors in her practice are really good as well (esp. Dr Tara Weibe). They have an office by Parker Adventist Hospital and by Aurora Medical Center South. Best of luck.
PS Whatever you do avoid Esprit Woman in Parker.

I absolutely LOVE my OB/GYN and I know you will too. She's everything you described, except younger. She's not old by any means but she's the best doctor I've ever had. I've been going to her since I was 16 (now 37 & having my second child). You'll always love her nurse, Nancy. She works out of SkyRidge.

Sorry its not Aurora but still doable. My OB is with Women's Comprehensive Care in Highlands Ranch (470/Quebec: Near Park Meadows & Babys R Us). The two docs (Giarratanna & Seidel) in the practice are both incredible. SO personable, reachable & great bedside manners. Not to mention their office staff is AMAZING, they are all so helpful, friendly & easy to reach when you have questions. I highly recommend and think that it is well worth the drive if you can swing it.
