Window Washing - Blacksburg,VA

I am having trouble getting my windows clean. I have been using a homemade spray to keep pests off my roses and now I can't get the windows behind the bushes clean! The spray has dish soap and vegetable oil in it. I tried really hard not to get it on the window but, didn't succeed in a few places. Any secrets to removing dish soap and veg oil from glass? It is driving me crazy to look out and see this streaky, spotty mess! :) Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hey mamas! Thanks for all of the advice. I tried vinegar and water twice and no luck. I remembered that I had some goo gone so I tried that. My husband and I both scrubbed the heck out of the windows and it finally came off. I think the sun had baked it on. I will definitely cover them up if I use the rose spray again. I am going to do some research on that first. What a pain but, we got it off! Thanks for all of your help! :)

I have heard that using a vinegar and water combination and using newspaper instead of paper towels to wipe it gets rid of the streaks. I have not tested this method myself but my cousin swears by it. Good luck!

Melaleuca has some great products...including window/glass cleaner. Sol U Mel and Tough & Tender should help. If you contact me, I will get you connected with them.

I agree with Amanda. I use vinegar and water in my sun room. I smoke out there. I use a stronger mix of vinegar and water dose the window with an old rag, squeegee excess water off then use newspaper to remove streaks. It is time consuming but my windows look AWESOME when I'm done.
