OH my, you have what was my eldest child ;) My 1st daughter was in a toddler bed by 9 months, crazy baby!
I got a ton of those wooden baby gates, and put them in her window, one on top of the other (she had like a bench seat window)... took every out of the room except her drawers, bed, and toys. I got the outlet plugs that turn, they actually screw in, so there was no way she could shock herself... I removed the dressers with drawers, and replaced them with furniture that held soft sided baskets (she used to pull the drawers out and smash her feet)... since her little sister was in a tot bed by 10 months (her big sister, then 2 1/2, used to get into the crib and 'help' her sister out... by pushing her up and over, lovely)... partners in crime, those two! I sawed the door in half, and put the doorknob on inside out, so they couldn't lock me out. I have little hook locks to prevent the top part from closing/opening on their agenda.
It seems pretty extreme, but it worked like a CHARM... my son is 21 months old and by the grace of God, still in a crib... but now that we're beginning to potty train, I'll be re-doing his room like this soon, since it was such a huge success with the other two!!
Your daughter is going to get up, a LOT, because she can... the only thing you can do is keep her room relatively safe, accept that she's still going to find something to get into, but discipline her to the point where you don't have to go totally overboard (like I did!)... good luck :)
