If you put the game CD in upside down, it will give you a gray screen. I think the silvery side should be closest to the power button.
We bought a Wii for Christmas this past year. At first the kids played with it a lot but once it started getting nice out, they hardly play it. We use it mostly for Netflix. We tried to play it last night and our games aren't working. It's like, the Wii can't read them. And it's not just one game, we tried 3 different ones.
is there a cleaner you can get for them? Kinda like they have for CD players. Has anyone else had this problem with theirs?
Thanks

Sometimes the Wii does system updates. It may just need a reboot so to speak. There should be instructions in the Support section.
We bought something called a Wii Lens Cleaning Kit. It probably helped, because all except one of our games works now.
The one that still doesn't work has circular scratches on it. We don't know if the scratches happened from dirt inside the Wii- but that's what the lens cleaner was supposed to get rid of. We tried having the disk cleaned and resurfaced, but it didn't help. We had to buy a new disk for the one that didn't work- they do not have a warranty or discount if your disk gets too scratched.
Ours didn't work after a power outage, I unplugged it and waited for a while then plugged it back into a different outlet (the one below where it was originally plugged in) and it worked fine but the disks wouldn't read and my daughter showed me I was putting them in backwards, so after I put them in the other way, they worked fine. Maybe you are putting them in backwards? If not, then I would call the support number on the box and see if they can help or google it.
