M.M.
You might just try calling Empire.
I've used them for windows and carpeting in the past, and they've been pretty reasonable with their rates (and they really do install next day).
So this morning my 2 yr old pulled down and broke the shade in his room. It is 84 inches wide, which seems to be much wider than what is typically carried in stores, without having to do a custom order.
Does anyone know who carries very wide room darkening shades? (the kind that you pull on the fabric and it snaps up)
I've checked Loews, Home Depot, Target, JC Penney and The Great Indoors already.

I was going to say JC Penny's but the widest the cut-to-width shades go to is 73 1/4 inches.
BlindsGalore let's you choose 84 inches width or more. Take a look at them.
Blinds.com- I've used them a few times and am happy with the quality and pricing!
I don't know Ikea's size range, but we bought an inexpensive room darkening blind for a regular window from them, plus its easy to check online before you go.
