Can someone please explain to me why the characters on Dora, Go Diego, Kai Lan and Little Einsteins yell instead of talk? I am lucky enough that my first three were too old by the time these came out and my youngest never quite got into them. But the youngest has watched a few times, enough that I just about went insane from the constant yelling by the characters. Little Einsteins was on this morning and I love the musical aspect of it, I just wish I could mute the characters. Turning down the volume doesn't eliminate the yelling aspect. So why, in your opinion, do these children show creators think it is necessary to have the characters yell at these little preschool viewers?
Ugh. And why does Caillou whine all the time, why do the Wonder Pets have speech impediments ("thith ith seeweeous" instead of "this is serious") and where are Max and Ruby's parents? I'd love to see the day when Max tells that condescending witch of a sister of his off.
I have no idea why they're always shouting. I am glad that my kids have moved past these shows but the stuff for older kids is even more annoying.

I find Dora and Diego much more annoying than Little Einsteins. If you want a fun musical show, try Jack's Big Music show or The Imagination Movers or even The Freshbeat Band.
why is there one sad Bubble guppie? I think his name is Nonni or something like that. He is the red headed one and rarely smiles. I can't stand Caillou, he is such a brat. My kids love little einsteins and jungle junction. Yes they do yell in little einsteins and why is that blonde one tone deaf?
Now I know why my daughter has a speech delay!!! It's was the Wonder Pets fault!! LOL!! I've thought the same about some of these crazy cartoons!! SpongeBob has gotta Go!! I don't think it's so much the yelling as it is the high pitched voices and EXTREME ENTHUSIASM attached to EVERY MUNDANE SENTENCE!!!! Actually, if you listen to little kids, they often talk just like this. I know my 5 yr old niece sounds just like one of those TV characters. She has a super high pitched voice and is always so happy and excited about what she wants to tell me that it comes out all loud and yell-y, even when it's NOT actually loud and yell-y. "AUNTIE K.!! GUESS WHAT, TODAY AT SCHOOL WE HAD !!!PIZZA!!! FOR LUNCH!!! AND GUESS WHAT, MY NEW BFF SAT NEXT TO ME ON THE SCHOOL BUS AND GUESS WHAT...." You get the picture. Exhausting for the person with functioning ears, but it's hard to squash their enthusiasm.
I guess some research somewhere must have shown that small children respond to high pitched, enthusiastic voices so those TV characters sound like that. Annoying, I agree.

Try WETA Tv Maya &Miguel teach Spanish too!! Their shows are fun &educational without being annoying. I too cant deal with all the nonsense

Oh yeah. Not only do my kids watch all of those cartoon where the characters yell, but my husband watches adult cartoons too. South Park! The Simpsons! American Dad! Ugh.
