My period usually comes the same time every month. I have and IUD for over a year now and my periods and cramps were worse at first. I am doing better now but it took about a year. When you get older your body changes. I would make sure that you are not anemic. Get enough potasium and iron. Two good sources for potasium are bananas and milk. Iron comes from leafy greens, red meat, Take a multivitamin also. Make sure you are drinking lots of water, exercising regularly and staying hydrated. Best of luck
the end and the first is not much difference unless you are talking 10 days..
talk with your OB/GYN and see if they will run some blood tests...maybe you are now anemic? I don't know know...I would see my doctor and tell them what is going on..
if you have a change in your lifestyle, diet, etc. weight gain/loss - it can all affect your cycles....
Mine is getting worse as I get older :-(
After it changed to the beginning of the month, did it become consistent? How old are you? Have you experienced any lifestyle changes, anything that your body and psyche might respond to? Stress? Have you spent a significant amount of time with a particular woman (co-worker in same office now, maybe)? (Your cycle might have synched up with hers.)
It's not a bad idea to get a good work-up with your doctor, just to maintain a baseline record but also to rule out cysts or other things that can create these changes. You might need a new exercise regimen. Chamomile tea and meditation might help.
You might be estrogen dominant. I understand most of us are because of the chemicals we're exposed to, diet, stress, and more. I read What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Perimenopause. It was very helpful - you could look for that on Amazon. You could probably use a good progesterone cream.
Getting on a good supplement program and eating more healthfully cleared up all my problems that I had had since age 13. It also enabled me to sail through menopause.
I would seek a doctor's opinion on this one.
When I hit around 30 something my periods stopped being a perfect 28 day cycle (which I had been on for around 15 years), and went to a 26 day cycle. My monthlies have always been long and hard. 26 days really bites. It means I have 13 periods per year. Now it's been another 12-16 years or so since the change and I'm not sure exactly when, but sometime in the last 5 years or so I've seen some 25 day months and a few times of only spotting or shorter periods. I'm 44 now and I keep thinking things will become more irregular, but they haven't yet.
