White Spots on Legs

My two year old has developed white patches all over her legs. They are smooth, matching the feel of the rest of her skin, and vary in size from a pencil eraser to a dime or nickel. She has had outbreaks of eczema in the past, related to CD and other food sensitivites, but that has been under control for quite some time and these are relatively new.

Any thoughts?

What can I do next?

My granddaughter has eczema and once the rash heals her skin in that place is white.

Another possibility is that it's vitiglio. Here is a web site describing it. My daughter had just one white spot on her leg and this was diagnosed. I worked with a man who had a lot of white on his face and this is what it was.

I'm ssssooo sorry!!

If they are smooth, I would say it's another form of eczema. If they are bumpy, I would say Muscullum (spelling) - it's a virus in the body that can take up to 18 months to go away...

I hope it's just eczema!!!

GOOD LUCK!

Could it be ringworm? possibly?

My kiddo has eczema, and in some places where I treated it with steroid cream, the skin was lighter than the rest of his skin. It eventually returned to his normal skin tone. If you've ever treated with topical steroids, then that's a possible cause.
