Every time my son(19mo) wakes up he is so whinny. It has gotten really bad the last few months. It is starting to be annoying. What do I do?

What can I do next?

I know that sucks, my son has had phases of a few weeks at a time where he is waking up crying or phases where he's waking up smiling and happy. But hang in there, it's just a phase. Remember that he'll be different in a few weeks. :)

Some kids just aren't good waker uppers.. My 2nd daughter was horrid as a kid (still is as a 26 yr old). I found that it helped to not really talk too much with her or expect her to talk to me. She'd eat, get dressed, and usually be ok by the time we did her hair. So just try to keep your interactions minimal with him when he first gets up which should give him a chance to actually wake up.

one of the reason he could be whinny, is with some toddlers, it takes longer for them to wake up. I know with my 2 year old she is really whinny from getting up from a nap and my 3 year old she is whinny when she gets up in the morning. It maybe the way he wakes up or the position he was sleep in before he wakes.

I know the feeling my 17 mon old became so whinny in the last month and i was trying to figure out why... low and behold she has like 4 teeth cutting through... so maybe its something wrong or maybe a phase... he'll be fine.. but it is kinda annoying...lol
