A.,
I had my baby at West Valley in February. Everyone there was wonderful. We toured both hospitals, and took birthing classes at West Valley. The reason we chose West Valley was...we had signed up for a tour of Banner 2 months ahead, along with about 15 other expectant mothers and their families. Well we were all there waiting, and waiting, and waiting. The tour was supposed to be at 7:00pm. There was noone at any kind of information desk. The only people around were in the gift shop, and they really couldn't help us. Around 7:30 a security guard realized there were 30 or so people waiting around for no apparent reason. So, he tried to find some one to help us. Finally, after being taken 3 different places they found a nurse to show us around. I'm not sure what this nurse did in Labor and Delivery, but she was not able to answer any questions aside from where things physically were. She could tell us where the coffee was. Where the recovery rooms were. Where the waiting room was, and that was it. All very important, but not really worth waiting over an hour for a tour that didn't show me anything. Well, it did show me that Estrella can not even coduct a tour, so I was pretty sure I wasn't going to trust them to care for my child and me.
I know everyone can have a bad day, but this was my first and only impression of Banner Estrella. I hope it helps. Best of luck to you with your newest blessing.
