I second the OtterBox. My husband has one and the 3-year-old hasn't broken it yet. I have the Apple Product Red magnetic cover for my iPad and that's been great too.
Hi ladies! I am going to buy myself an iPad 2, and I am realizing that I could easily spend more on accessories and apps than I paid for the actual iPad. I suppose the first thing I should buy is an iPad cover. Do any of you have one that you LOVE?
I will probably be letting my 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son play with the iPad every once in a while, so durability is a must. Thanks for any recommendations you might have!
Thanks everyone! I'll definitely look into all of your suggestions. I still have yet to actually pull the trigger on the iPad 2 because I hear there may be a large price drop or the iPad 3 coming up in the next month or two.

you definitely need a screen protector. plus, i have the caselogic ipad cover and love it. my 2 year old has dropped it a couple of times and all is still good :)
I just bought my son's ipad today! He is 3 and autistic, so I personally thought the leather cover was the way to go since I'm sure it will be dropped multiple times. It was a hefty price, but at least it's less than the cost of another ipad! Also, a friend of mine got her son's cover in the color red, she did this b/c it tends to stick out, and is not as likely to get lost in school, etc.
my ex got my daughter a screen saver at Best Buy. Not sure how much it was, but they install it for $7 and it is supposed to gurantee the screens safety.
So far as covers, I think it's a matter of taste. One of the coolest ones I've seen was bought for $15 at Ross. It needs to be protective and hold the ipad in whatever positions you like without it constantly slipping. So, take the ipad and try it out.
I've had my iPad for over 2 years. My husband got his at the same time. They have never had a screen protector or cover on them. My children 9, 6, and 2 all play with them daily. They have been dropped repeatedly on the carpet, the wood floor, even once in the garage on the way to the car. They have never been scratched or damaged in any way. My 9 year old accidentally threw the ipad while playing a game about 8 feet or so and again, no damage. They are actually quite tough...so my advice is to to get a cheap one or one you like the style of because your ipad doesn't really need the protection like you'd imagine it would. Enjoy your iPad!!
We just got one & our kids will be playing on ours quite a bit . I asked a child life specialist that has an iPad for kids to play on during procedures & she uses an OtterBox. So, that's what we are using on ours. Luckily, hasn't been dropped yet, so can't give any reviews.
I simply have the smart cover and a Gelaskin over the back and front frame. My 5 year old son has dropped my iPad a few times and I have concrete floors. Now, he hasn't dropped it from a large height, just from about his chest high (about 3 feet high) and everything has been fine. The skin is great for scratches. You can see that it is all scratched, but if I remove the skin, the back of the iPad looks great. I keep it in a L. sleeve when I am traveling, but that also carries my power cord and anything else I want to put in there.
I love my speck cover I got at Target. Its the rubbery one with tiny squares on it. It doesn't have a screen protector, but it's been fine even with my 7 & 4 year old boys playing on it.
I brought the Book Jacket Case for my iPad. Best investment by far. Its pretty pricey but well worth it.
