We resently moved to Murphy and need to know where to go for good trick or treat. We have a 3 and 1 year old. We were thinking of Highland Park because my husband works there but not sure if it is only for local residence.

What can I do next?

What side of Murphy are you in? I live in The Timbers which is on the SE corner of FM 544/Murphy Road. We trick or treated nearest our house in our neighborhood and the kids had a great time. PM me if you want...

Your own neighborhood or possibly a neighboring one.

We have tons of kids that come through our neighborhood that live here. I have seen vans drop kids off. We are not crazy about the drop offs. We know who they are.....that is OK, NO problem....we are known for great handouts (regular sized candy bars and non candy cool treats) and that is why we are popular. We know our kiddos well....

Our neighborhood has a LOT of children and it is a social event for the adults as well. I have special treats for our neighborhood kiddos which are many.

Also, we adults use the time to socialize with each other. Most of the time, we all (at least my street) sets up outside and we have chairs, food, drink, etc. One of the teen bands plays music and earns some extra cash on tips. It is a neighborhood party night here.

I would think Murphy would be a perfect place to trick or treat, however many churches in the area have activities at their facilities

We live in Murphy and last year was our first Halloween here. We loved just trick or treating in our own neighborhood. There are so many great subdivisions around here that I can't imagine why you'd want to make the drive any where else - especially with the kids being so young!

The BEST neighborhood to trick or treat in close to you is in Wylie where we used to live. We still take our kids there every year. Don't worry about going into anyone elses neighborhood. When we trick or treat in our current neighborhood, NO ONE is home so we have to go somewhere else. And the neighborhood is SO big, no one can really tell if you live there or not and even if you don't, WHO cares....it's Halloween and they're just passing out some candy. I think most people would rather having an empty candy bowl at the end of the night than having no one come to their door.

You can mapquest my old address and it will take you to the neighborhood.
1015 Caddo Lake Wylie Tx.

A lot of people go all out in the neighborhood and make it very cool for the kids. You won't be dissapointed so have a great time!
They always have the best candy and the kids buckets are usually full on the first street.
Have FUN! I know we can't wait!!
