Where to Take the Kids for a Fun Night Out

My husband and I are watching my neice and nephew for the night, along with our little boy. Their ages are 4, 8, and 2 respectively. I'm looking for something fun to do, that also involves food. I thought about Dave and Buster's in Maple Grove, but when I looked at the website, it looked like it was much more geared toward the adult crowd. Does anybody know about this place? Are there other suggestions, maybe for pizza joints or other places that are fun? We can't do a movie or any sort of performance, as the 2 year old just won't hang. Thanks for all the suggestions!

What can I do next?

Dave and Busters is geared towards adults, although they do have a lot of kids come earlier in the evening. I believe they have an age requirement after a certain point (but maybe this is just for kids without adults). Bowling always seems to be a good hit and it is loud enough where you don't have to worry about the 2-year old :). My daughter used to even roll the ball herself at that age. They usually have pizza and things as well.

NO on Dave and Busters. Way too expensive and not even that great of food. Chuck E Cheese is the kids version. (also in Maple Grove) Check out the Maple Grove Community Center play area. A giant McDonalds playland that all three kids would enjoy. New Hope Cinema and Grill (on winnetka and medicine lake road) is a place to watch a movie while you can order dinner. very kid friendly even for the 2 year old. Have fun

When the weather is nice we love The Lookout in Maple Grove. Grab an outdoor table...They have a playground set with swings, slides, etc for the kids to play on before and after your meal. There's also a sand volleyball pit if you want to bring sand toys for your kids to play with. Our kids love going there....and we love it to because it's such a relaxed atmosphere.

How about bowling? You could all bowl two games and then order a Pizza there. You can call ahead and reserve a lane and have bumpers put on for the two year old. My two year old nephew just went bowling for the first time last night and my sister in law said he loved it!

Space Aliens! My three year old loves it there, and they have pretty good food. There is one in Blaine and one in Albertville.

My ideas were mentioned: Chuck E Cheese, the Shoreview community center and Eagles Nest in New Brighton. I have seen people order pizzas to Eagles Nest if you want to incorporate dinner. Eagles nest should be fun for all three ages.

Have fun!
