I am looking to find a new home for a 5 month old australian shepherd mix puppy. I really want her to find a good home and not in a shelter, she is very well cared for and we want her to go to a family that will do the same. We are asking a nominal rehoming fee to assure she gets to the right home, but not enough to afford and ad in the paper. Any ideas on where to list this. Thanks!!!

Try the Frisco Humane Society. They are awesome and have foster moms for all the dogs!
You could try surrendering her to a rescue organization. They will do checks on potential adopters and interview them to be sure they are decent homes. Two that come to mind are Operation Kindness or Humane Society Of Flower Mound. There are several others though.
I had a friend that posted something on Craigslist recently and found a home for his dog really fast...less than a week!
Hi A.,
Your request caught my attention for 2 reasons....one is MY name is A. too! And also, we have an australian shepherd standard, and we just got a miniature aussie a week ago. I love the breed, and wish I could take yours, but we can't. BUT I think you should post your ad on Craigslist. Have you heard of that? It is free to post the ad, and is seen by SOOOO many people. The website is www.craigslist.com Good luck!!
