Where to Go with a 2 Month Old

go to San Diego - you'll be able to relax in the summer weather and the flight is short! I took my son when he was 2.5/3 months old and we had a blast!

It DOES need to be "kid friendly"....but basically you and your little family can go anywhere you want...just check before you go to make sure the place will be able to accommodate your needs. I think breast-feeding is wonderful and I have seen mom's doing it in public beautifully and discreetly. I have also seen mom's haul out a boob like she was in the privacy of her own home; trust me, it's not a pretty or welcome site for all who might be present at the time.

If you are going to a fancy restaurant, again call ahead (maybe go early before it gets crowded), and let them know you will be brining a small baby, so they can place you where your daughter’s baby carrier will be safe from the traffic of the wait staff and other diners. If it’s your favorite restaurant, they will probably be happy to see your new addition.

Same with the movies, go when it’s not crowded. There will be extra seats or places where the baby carrier can be placed and your baby will be safe. If she gets fussy, you and your husband can take turns going out of the theater.

Hotels typically have cribs, and offer complimentary coffee, so if you express breast milk for back bottles, you would be able to heat up a bottle with warm water from the coffee maker, and your husband can take some feeding turns--because your on vacation too! Most of all, bring your own gear and be prepared for anything.

I made it a point to take my son almost everywhere early on. It’s amazing how well children adjust to regular outings and travel when you don’t make a big deal about it.

Why not try the Monterey/Carmel area? The weather is always pleasant and hardly ever too hot. There are so many nice walks, sights to see, restaurants, etc. Monterey itself has many moderately-priced motels if you don't want to pay Carmel prices. Pacific Grove is also very pleasant.

A weekend in Monterey would be really nice. B.

Well I took my granddaughter to Disneyland, which was fun. Introducing her to all the characters and getting her picture taken. And she was able to get on some of the rides. Pirates of Carribean, Small World (but thatis closed for rennovation now), Haunted House, etc. We took her to Disney Play House and the 3D movies.

My favorite travel destination within California is San Diego. There is so much to do and see! Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, Marine World, etc. are all great outings with a very young child. San Francisco is another great place for sightseeing, walks, tours, and fabulous food. If you're looking for something more laid back, plan ahead and head for the Sierras. There's endless hiking/walking and beautiful scenery. Take a camera and take lots of pictures with your little one. Best wishes.

A great place to go is Carmel. It's a beautiful area and relaxing. Good walking trails along the water and great shops on Ocean Street. Monterey is also close to Carmel, so you can check out the aquarium and the wharf. Enjoy!!

Morro Bay (just north of San Luis Obispo) is beautiful this time of year. It is close to Hearst Castle, tons of antique shops, and San Luis Obispo. There is a lot of walking around and it doesn't get too hot.

1. How about a museum at SF area? You and husband can enjoy the museum, art work, and the baby will be in the stroller most of the time. If you can take a nursing wrap with you, then you can sit at nice chairs and nurse (without anyone seeing you).
