So my little boy needs to have his hair cut. He has wonderful curls in the back and the front is just always falling down into his eyes.

I want to get the front cut, but am so scared that he is gonna end up with uneven bangs.

So does anyone recomend a great place to go for my first visit. I am very worried, but know it needs to be done. I am looking for somewhere in the westchase and surrounding areas.

Thank you for your help!!

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your advice on where to go. I ended up going to Baby Cuts on Westhimer near hwy 6. She was quick, affordable, and did a great job! I will have to look in to Cool Cuts for his next one though!

We visited Toys r us in Pasadena last week and they have a cool, colorful and kid friendly barber shop in back for kids (especially first-timers.) Maybe you can call around or look online for a toys rus close to you to see which ones have a barber shop and go in and sit and observe to see if you like their skills.

The atmosphere is awesome because you never know how your child is going to react to a first haircut. So many playful and colorful distractions. There was always a short line when I looked over while shopping, but constantly a line! Or maybe just try to do a search for kid friendly barbers and observe first before making an appt. I hope you find the best one!!!!

Cool Cuts 4 Kids is DEFINITELY the place to go - as one poster said they have cool, special toddler sized chairs (in the one we go to inside of Toys R Us one is a taxi and the other is a firetruck, both with bells they can ring) but they also take a polaroid for you and have a special frame where they can seal in their precious first locks. They are gentle and aren't nervous or annoyed when they squirm or cry. The movies they can watch while this goes on (which you select) helps keep their heads still without it seeming scary.

Try CoolCuts! They have the cutest little airplanes to sit on while they are getting groomed and they can pick out a video to watch on the little dvd player right in front of them or play video games. My kids can't wait to get up on the plane!
