Where to Buy a 8 Arm Sling?

There is a pharmacy in Plano, Taylor Drug and Medical, at the SE corner of Parker and Alma, phone ###-###-####. I needed to find something for a First Aid kit for my son last week and they had it. I'd call first. They seemed very knowledgable so if they can't help you, maybe they can direct you elsewhere. Good luck.

My son broke his collar bone at 3. We got a sling at an Axis Medical Supply Store near us (drug stores did not carry them) but didn't wind up using it much a s a sling - he didn't keep his arm in it well. We used it more as a tie-down strap to strap his arm to his body so that he didn't move his coller bone, and that workled much better (if the problem is the collar bone).

Have you washed his sheets or clothes in something new that he might have a alergic reaction?

My daughter fell off the arm of the couch as an 18 month old and they said to keep her arm still - yeah, right. There were no tiny slings. I sewed a rectangle of 2 same-size pieces (measure his arm for size) of pretty, soft cloth leaving a whole at the top corner for arm to enter and a hole on the opposite side for her hand to extend out.

Then I sewed ribbon (well, it had to be pretty - I had two boys and waited a long time for that girl!) on all 4 corners. The top 2 tied around her neck, the bottom two tied around her waist and VOILA her wee arm was stilled.
