Where Should We Stay in Bermuda?

Everything in Bermuda is expensive, and I don't know how much rooms cost, but the restaurants were pricey at The Fairmont Southhampton. (My husband's job paid for it). The hotel was nice and it had a private beach, but you could walk to Horseshoe Bay which is one of the top beaches. You can't rent a car in Bermuda so you will have to use taxis or rent scooters and the Fairmont is not near anything. At the Fairmont beach you can rent water activities, kayaks, etc. and they have a bar on the beach.

I used to live there on the beach - LOVED it! I lived there when the Navy base was still there and while our house is no longer standing, if you go to Clearwater Beach and look straight across, you'll see a small beach and spots for 3 homes, we lived in one of those from 9- 12 :). AMAZING!

Grotto Bay was always fun, they have a nice pool and caves you can swim in. This is close to St. David's and St. George's.

There is a Marriott on the island, closer to, if not in, Hamilton. Tons of fun things to do at this resort and great pools.

There are beaches EVERYWHERE. I moved away in 95, and since I didn't drive there I can't tell you names of many places, but it's amazing.

Do some online research. We are going to take our kids there in a few years, but will rent a house. It is SO much cheaper than the hotels.
