I am looking to get my boy's haircut for the second time before his second birthday. We live in Bolingbrook and I would like to find some place to go nearby that gives a decent haircut. For his first haircut we went to Kid Snips in Naperville and they gave an excellent haircut while my boy sat in a car and watched Thomas. Anyone have other great places in mind i might try?
My little boy is almost 19 months, but he has already had 5 haircuts?! We've just used coupons & gone to Supercuts and Great Clips. Just ask for someone who is familiar with working with little kids whose heads move around, and you should be fine. I've had him sit in my lap, or I've had him sit in a booster seat. Both worked fine. Good luck.
There is a kids cuts salon just off 355 N at the mapel exit. Exellent place.
My little guy is 2.5 yrs old and I used to take him to Snippets at Yorktown in Lombard, but you know, I have been taking him to the good old Hair Cuttery in Woodridge on 75th Street and for $10, they give him a great haircut everytime. They work fast and believe me, he does not enjoy getting his haircut. I let him sit on my lap and bring a book to try and distract him. I was getting tired of paying $18 for a toddler haircut. Someone also told me that chain SportClips will do little kids.
We've never had a haircut here but went to a birthday party at Boozle B's off of Rt. 59 and 119th in Plainfield near the Kohl's. Cute place and same idea with fun cars to sit in and a tv at each station.
My son is 26 months old and all ready on his 8th or 9th haircut, my son has been blessed with fast growing hair (like his mom). I always take him to Fantastic Sams, due to the fact the amount of haircuts he's had and the price.
I used to live in Bolingbrook, now I live in Plainfield and for a long time I've been trying to find someone to cut my son's hair, because I'm picky with "linings" and the stylist in Kid Snips did not do a good job on his "lining". I finally found a place in Shorewood "Barber Shop" 574 Brookforest Avenue (Route 59) Shorewood ###-###-####. They do a great job a boy cuts.
I just have advise on where not to go - Cookie Cutters in Glen Ellyn. The hairdresser cut my son's ear and they still charged me for his lopsided bowl cut. He was 18 months old and I haven't been brave enough to take him anywhere else - I have clippers and do it myself and it turns out pretty cute. And I'm sure not to hurt him. I had taken my daughter to a Kidsnips and liked that place. I like cost cutters for myself.
