What fiber rich foods do you eat? I'm looking at my diet. I've eliminated all processed carbs. It seems like I've eliminated all my fiber too! Suggestions?

What can I do next?

I eat a ridiculous amount of fruit, veggies I eat as well but fruit is the star of my diet.

You'd be shocked at the fiber in 1 Asian pear.

I swear by fruit and veggies as being the stars of any good meal we can receive most of what we need from them, this includes fiber,.

I have a spinach salad with or for lunch every day and either steamed veggies like broccoli, asparagus or green beans, or a salad, or roasted squash with dinner. If I have a carb at dinner it's corn on the cob or brown rice. I also eat old-fashioned oatmeal every other morning with slivered almonds or walnuts and blueberries or blackberries, and at least one piece of fruit per day (pear, apple). Here is a list of high-fiber foods that may help:

Whole wheat bread, brown rice, beans, lentils, vegetables, fruits and even nuts are great sources of fiber. You'd be amazed at the fiber you can get from fruits and veggies - just google it and you can see the grams per piece of fruit.

I make bean and bacon soup, lots of veggies, quinoa salads, oatmeal spiced with cinnamon or other baking spices, brown rice, wheat germ added to things, I also used mashed up beans to help thicken things without adding extra fat like gravies, sauces and soups and stews.

I'm currently on a gluten free diet for my daughter, so I have eliminated pretty much all processed carbs and I get PLENTY of fiber. Fruits and veggies (I eat lots of prunes, apples, broccoli), brown rice, beans (baked beans are surprisingly high in fiber). Peas and rolled oats are both very high in fiber, but I don't eat either one.

whole wheat bread, fruit.........but mainly no matter how much fiber I eat (fine line with too much can be trouble too) I take a stool softener and miralax. Plum juice is great too and tastes yummy.

Do Cheerios and Triscuits qualify as processed carbs? At least they're both whole grain.

I like all the millions of different kinds of organic greens, the weedier the better, pricey though.

Take soluble fibers (psyllium) they are easier to digest (no inflated belly) and work very well :)

I start the morning off with a green protein smoothie. The protein supplement has 6 grams of complex carbs plus the 3 servings of fruit/veggies I put in. Then I make sure to get 6-7 more servings of veggies/fruit throughout the day. I occasionally have whole wheat toast or crackers and sweet potato chips. Then round it out with at least one serving of seeds or nuts.

We eat large portions of green veggies at two meals a day. (Usually it's dark leafy greens, asparagus, spinach, and broccoli.) We also eat lots of apples and pears, which are high in fiber.
