If you still have this, or any other items you want to donate, www.freecycle.org is a great place to recycle items so they don't end up in the landfill. It is person-to-person, you can post wanted or offered items.
I have a Madela pump that still works like a champ. It is an older one and needs new tubing & bottles but that stuff is cheap. I don't want to sell it!! I was hoping to donate it to a battered womens sheler or something but have not been succesful. Any ideas or moms out there in need?
Thanks for all of your help ladies. I was going to donate it to the Crisis Nursery in Concord but then a cousin was in need so it ended up staying in the famiily.

Have you already checked with the lactation consultants at your local hospital or your local La Leche League - they'd probably know if any social workers were ISO a pump for a client.
Bananas Inc., a non profit child care resource in Oakland, would be another good place to contact -they accept a variety of children's clothing and gear and serve a lot of low income families http://www.bananasinc.org/
Also, my local parents of multiples club Twins by the Bay maintains a collection of loaner baby gear that members can borrow - we're a certified 501 (c) (3) non profit so if you chose to donate to us we could provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. http://www.twinsbythebay.org or email ____@____.com
My friend just gave birth last week. I'll check with her to see if she can use the pump (I know she wants to pump as she'll be returning to work in mid-January). I'll let you know. Thanks!

Hi A.
A woman in my office just gave birth to her son on Saturday. She is a single mom and I know that she needs a breast pump. I would be happy to pay for shipping. Let me know if you still need to want to donate it.
Thanks, S.
