Where Can I Buy a Guard Rail for a Twin Bed?

Hello,

Yesterday we made the transition for my 2 1/2 yr old from a crib to the bottom of a twin bunk bed. He did great with the transition and fell right to sleep but in the middle of the night fell hard onto the floor! : (
I saw a post recently on here that said to use the pool noodles as a guard and it helped for that mom but my son just rolled right over it I guess.
I'm trying to find where I can buy an extra rail for the bottom bunk.
I've heard some stores sell extra rails that you can slide right on but I can't find them anywhere and the furniture store we bought the bed at does not sell them.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

You can buy bed rails that fit anything from a twin to a queen. I bought ours at Babies R Us. Go to www.babiesrus.com and do a product search for "bed rails". There are lots of options.

Good luck!

We got ours at Pottery Barn. I had tried several less expensive plastic-y kinds and they just fell out, broke, etc. I love our Pottery Barn one.

Hi V.,

We bought a guard rail a long time ago...I believe we got it a Burlington (the Baby Depot section) - they have TONS of really good baby/kid stuff like that! I've also seen them at Babies R Us and Toys R Us. Hope that helps!

Hey V. - Try Babies R Us. I picked one up there about 5 months ago and it just slides right under the mattress. It's very easy. They had several different types to choose from too, depending on your needs.

Hope that helps!

after your child falls asleep, return to their room and place a baby mattress in the area where the fall might occur. OR put two/three back chairs against the bed.

Babies R Us or Toys R Us.

You also might try one of the fatter noodles. The skinny one works for us, but our son is older. You can usually buy the larger ones at Wal-Mart also and that might work better.
