what part of Milford do you live?
I am new in the neighborhood and wondering where the children are in Milford. The playgrounds and the beaches seem so desolate given the number of children enrolled in the public schools. My son misses playing in the playground with children and easily finding kids to scooter or play basketball with. I expected to see more children bicycling in Milford. I feel like we are experiencing an episode from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where the children are missing. This is a big loss in our lives. I know there are classes and organized playgroups at religious organizations for instance but we are looking for basic play. Why aren't the playgrounds and beaches filled with children? I also noticed that at the Oyster Fair children did not integrate with others that they did not know. Is this in part due to the lack of play and development of social skills? It feels alarming. Enough to send us away.
what part of Milford do you live?
D., hi, I've noticed the same thing. I live in the Stratford/ Milford area. A.
Hi - I am laughing because my BF says that all the time. I moved from Shelton to Cheshire and we do not see a lot of kids outside. I think the media terrifies people and no one lets the kids out of the house anymore. I was always outside growing up. But of course we did not have the variety of TV shows, a computer and video games.
Where did you live before?
That does seems strange. I live in Fairfield and there are kids everywhere. Especially the playgrounds and beaches. Also, kids out playing on the streets. Bring your son here.
