I sashayed out of my home this morning walking to my car as if I was on the runway because it is Friday and I was looking cute.
Before I could reach the car door I stumbled and fell on the grass and slid as if I was running for first base! ARRRGH..

I got up and looked around to see if anyone was outside and continued to strut to my car door like Beyonce did when she fell on stage at a concert and jumped up and pop and locked right back into her routine! LOL.....

Still laughing at myself. When was the last time you fell?

Happy Friday!!!!!!!!

What can I do next?

Last week was the last time. In my small bathroom, and my Hoveround was in there too. Plus lots of grit from outside! I managed to reverse the Hoveround out and into the hallway, skutch me across the gritty floor to the stairway to my basement (fortunately right across from my bathroom). From there I activated my stairlift chair down so I could hoist myself into a standing position, get on the stairlift, and back up to the hallway where the Hoveround waited. Somewhere in there I got my jammy bottoms pulled up into place. I couldn't say how it all happened. All of a sudden I was falling backwards, slow motion visualization!, nothing to grab hold of, and fortunately my tub is a walk in type and made of softer stuff. Otherwise who knows what the outcome might've been with a hard standard tub? I had a bruise on my one thigh, and still have it, but it's fading. I managed, but there are instances I wonder if it'll be enough!

I play tons of soccer, so fall all the time, but outside of that, I have taken a couple of spills. Hurts way more now than when I was young. Last one was jogging with my dog and toe hit a raised sidewalk. I swear I stumbled for twenty feet before I went down......jumped up and kept running. Pretty sure a neighbor saw me and ouch, hurt for a couple of days. You wouldn't have known it by the way I sprinted down the street afterward. ( ;

I actually took a slide down the basement stairs a few months ago when I was 36 weeks pregnant. Me and baby were okay thank God but it was one of those - are you freakin kidding me - moments. I am a natural born klutz so it wasnt anything new but while I was pregnant was a different story. I actually fell UP the stairs when I was 35 weeks pregnant with my first

I was 7 months pregnant and had to go up to husbands work to get something. He wasn't there. I slipped and fell in the gravel parking lot busted open my knees and hands. I walked in there all big pregnant and bloody, it was embarrassing but at least they had a first aid kit.

I think the last time I fell was when I stepped on a toy on the stairs. It was like I sat down really hard.
One of my friends was goofing around with her son at the playground, and tripped over a swing and fell. She was able to laugh at it, but she ended up with a neck brace and short-term memory loss for a few days afterwards.

Oh man, I fell so hard on my front porch one morning last year. I think it was the first 'winter" in our new house... okay winter in Southern california does NOT involve any ice but one morning it was so cold there was an ice slick on the porch steps and I went DOWN. I didn't pop back up like beyonce because I was already cranky about leaving early for work and it HURT.

I should have photographed the bruise. It was HUGE. And I could only show my husband really because it was hip-to-hip across my entire a$$ and would have been really inappropriate to show anyone else.

We put some traction tape on the steps after that but I swear that was a total fluke, there hasn't been any ice since.

A week ago! I was in the dollar store and slipped in a tiny splash of water on the floor (it was raining outside). Down I went, arms and legs everywhere, taking a shelf of Easter eggs with me! I twisted my ankle in the process. Plenty of people saw me. I must have made their day. So hard to be dignified when you're flailing and out of control.

The last time I fell was a few years ago when my daughter was invited to a party at a skating rink. Now mind you, the last time I was on skates before that was many years and many pounds ago, but I decided I would take her out to the middle of the rink to teach her how to skate. Well, we never made it because I misjudged how fast a little kid was coming around the bend and he ran right into us...took us out like bowling pins. That was the last time I fell and needless to say, the last time I was on skates.

Oh man. Last time I fell was 2 years ago when we moved into our house. We had a bunch of stuff on craigslist to be sold, and there were about 3-4 guys, plus my husband moving a big entertainment center out our patio doors. I went to see how things were going, and mid-sentence I tripped on the door frame, flew out the door, and fell 1 foot onto the concrete patio. Scraped up my hands pretty bad from catching myself. I just rolled onto my back like a damn sea lion while we all laughed. Thank God we'll never see them again. But my husband giggled for DAYS after. Jerk. :)

I fall constantly. I also have bad knees, am in need of a replacement of one at the moment and I'm constantly dizzy. I've learned how to fall correctly as to not incur too much damage. Whenever I see the commercials for the hover rounds(I think?)and they ask "have you fallen in the last few months?" I jokingly yell at the TV yes, yes I have and I'm not even 30 yet so you should give me one of those chairs for free! :-D

Ha! I endeavor to do those things inside, so I don't make a spectacle of myself in front of as many people.

I think the last time was when I was ironing and somehow entangled the cord around my ankle. I hope I was graceful. I was definitely bruised.

But my big performance was years ago, when I did a fancy step on my very own stairs at home and ended up having surgery for an ankle broken in three places....

Been a long time myself, but my 5 year old dd does it daily! :) She either has no balance at all or just doesn't pay attention. She has been this way since she learned to walk.

Happy Friday!

PS - She thinks she is a movie star too, hehe
