My son did not start walking OR crawling until her was 14 months old. My pediatrician told us not to worry that he would do it when he was ready and he did. I would not worry, at least she is taking some steps.
My 14 month old (she is 14 months old today). Is only taking about 7-10 steps by herself, and sometime just refuses to walk. You'll take her hand to walk and she will just drop to the floor and want to crawl. I was reading a book the other day that said 75% of 13 month olds are completely walking. Do you have any good idea on encouraging her to walk?
Thanks!!

Breanna has started to walk all the time. Now she doesn't want us to hold her and she wants to walk everywhere. She is doing much better.

My little girl was 16 months before she walked!! She'd crawl and stand up and guide herself along the furniture but wouldn't walk. She's almost three now and she's still a very "careful" little girl. I was told not to worry until about 17 months.
My son was 14 months when he started walking and my daughter was 15 1/2 months before she walked. I wouldn't worry about it.
Our niece was 18 months old when she started walking and now she is 5 and the fastest on her soccer team!!
A., my daughter did not start walking until she was 19 months. As a baby and toddler she never rolled over or crawled. Everyone told us there was something wrong with her. We went through over a year of tests and specialists to be told she is a perfectly happy and healthy baby. The doctors told us that every child develops at their own rate. One day she decided to stand up and start walking like she had been walking for months. Now she is 4 years old and has no problems. She plays with the other children and keeps up with them. If people are pressuring you, don't worry about it. If your pediatrician thinks everything is fine then more than likely your daughter will decide when she is ready. Hope this helps! A.
