When did you start getting your kids names wrong?? I usually only have to correct myself once i catch myself saying the wrong kids name. today i had a laugh because i turned a corner i had to go through all their names to get to the right kid...when did you start naming off all of them? when only one was in trouble or needed?
Oh victoria c. that is my problem..i have a zepgiger. a gibrodier..you name it there are many more that have come out of this mouth...
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that's called their kid by the dog's name. We got the puppy not too long after my daughter started crawling. It seems like I was ALWAYS telling one of them no. LOL! Makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one!
LOL I don't remember when it started but it definitely happens! My kids' names are Hope and Hayden and I know I am getting tired when I actually start calling them Hape and Hoden! :-)

Lately I've been mixing up my son and my husbands names!
Oh, oh, oh, I only have one child and I have called him by our dog's names, cat's name, grandfather's name and once by his Aunt's name!!! He just laughs at me.
My Father used to confuse my sister and I, and also called us by the cat's names, so I guess this name confusion runs in the family.

LOL!!!! I do this all the time. I have 3 kids ages 12, 11, and 9. I think I was doing pretty good at first but my mom always messes up their names so I think it kinda rubbed off on me. :) Of course, I didn't help anyone out by giving them all J names.
I started when I had 2 of the same gender. But I get called grandma, grandpa, daddy, even my daughter's BF's name!
We have two girls, one is 26 and one is 9. Both names start with "R"...it happens all the time!
I calledy daughter "DORA"......her name is Asia! Lol

practically right away ...even when i only had one. my brother would visit and i would call my son by my brothers name. now i have 3 kids and i always get their name wrong..i say its genetic..my grandmom did it then my mom now me.
My girls look exactly alike, but one is 2 one is 8. I started calling them by each others name on accident fairly recently. it seems like just yesterday my 8 year old looked just like my 2 year old.
i haven't read the other responses... but honestly, since hte moment she has been born and she's my only one!! i mix her name and my nieces name all the time. not on purpose, but it happens. occasionally my sisters names get in there. i don't know why i have such a hard time with names. typically though, i don't call her by her given name so it is easier. i call her baby, princess, sweetpea, precious.. you get the idea. and she prefers when i call her that to her real name. it makes her feel closer to me. and she's only 2 1/2. i always blamed the name thing on baby brain, but i guess it's something else, lol.
Lmao Momof2grlz, I have 2 cats and 1 is the troublemaker... a while ago when my daughter was going through a phase I felt like I was always saying no. I mixed her and my cat's name one time... usually it's me calling the cat my daughter's name lmao. Glad I'm not the only one. And yea, I've had one cat since a few months before she was born and the other when she was 5 months old.
Lol, I just found this post and it is so funny, I do it since I have my second child, specially when I am nervous or mad.
But I also have call my mom "daughter" or once "my love" (which is what I say to my husband sometimes) that was kind of awkward but she joke back and said: "yes, mi vida" which is how she calls hers, lol.
pretty much when my first daughter started crawling. i called her by the cat's name. 'come here kitty' :P
it's funny but i used to get so annoyed at my parents when they'd call me by my sister's name and now i do it too. my girls (6 & 8) haven't gotten upset about it yet tho, they just laugh that at their forgetful mom.
Haha... I cannot remember when exactly, but somewhere after I married a man with five kids under the age of ten (including twins) and added a dog... then another dog... and soon I was stammering out strange mixed up sort of name combos... or would call out the WRONG name entirely and then have to spin through the list of available names till my over loaded brain came to a stop at the right one and my tongue spit it out. My husband was peevish abou this several times when HE got called the wrong name... although the dogs were extremely understanding....
I'm still pregnant with my first kid, but I've been doing that with my pets for at least the last 2 years. It happens when I am calling them, yelling at them, or simply acknowledging them as I walk by.
I only have one DS who's name starts w/ M - Our dogs name is Mojo ..... SO many times I've called them each others names :-( SO SAD It can only get worse from here... LMAO
