We go to the zoo with my parents. We then order pizza. My mom and I decided a few years back this was how we wanted to spend the day.
A day at the zoo is always a good day to me and whenever I don't have to make dinner? It's even better :-)
*I will be thankful. Being cognizant of that ALL day long!
*Not do much in the way of housework.
*Thank my mom for having me & for all she did for me.
*Not feel guilty if I see some dust, vacuum today so I won't have to on Sunday.
*Have some dark chocolate.
*Put my feet up.......at least for 15 mins. ;)
*Possibly get inexpensive takeout for the entire family so I don't have to cook.
*Buy myself some cheap flowers at the grocery store if hubby doesn't get any (which he usually does).
*Hide out in the bathroom for 5 mins to quickly throw on a coat of nail polish (the only place I can hide.....short term.). ;)
What about you ladies?

I will be thankful to have both my children and stepson with me. With an 18 year old, I'm very aware that I may not have this luxury every year.
I will make breakfast for my mom as they will be visiting, but I'll let someone else do the dishes and clean up the kitchen.
I will work on some fun projects.
I will enjoy the day and maybe get to take a nap :)
My adult son will attend church with me. Afterwards, we will go to the cemetery to visit my mama, aunt, and sister. Then I will come home eat a snack, go workout with my son, come home eat and watch Bravo tv.
I will take 2 hours and go have a glass of wine all by myself somewhere.
I'm planting what ever I buy at the Mother's Day plant sale at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.
I look forward to it every year!.
Their rose garden should be in full bloom.
I also need to get the nets over my blueberry bushes so the birds don't eat up everything.
I will not do anything special.
My husband is working so the 3 kids are with me....like always!
It will just be another day.
Our mothers aren't close enough to visit so we will go to our favorite breakfast place and then I'm meeting two girlfriends at a nail spa. Their husbands and kids will be with mine and we will all have dinner. Take out. :). I can't wait.
my kids can't make it home, so my husband is taking me out for high tea.
i've got family members guilt-tripping me for not wanting to go with them to visit my little mumsie's grave, which i'm not ready to do yet. fortunately i've got enough crone in me to withstand attempted guilt-trips with a smile.

Spend quality time with my family. Probably either go into DC or maybe head down to Busch Gardens...just depends on the weather and how long we feel like being in the car.

Mother's Day is usually pretty low key for me but this year we are going to be up in Lake Tahoe (hiking and relaxing) and we will be going to a Mother's Day brunch at the Ritz Carlton! I'm happy that my son will be home from college and is joining us, but a little sad because my oldest daughter won't be there as she doesn't get out of school for two more weeks.
Same thing I do every Sunday - whatever the hell I feel like once my obligations are taken care of.
I will be with my husband and kids on our way to Las Vegas to see his grandmother and Aunt for the week. A combination of spending time with family and a small getaway for our 6 year wedding anniversary.
My mother is gone but we will also be visiting his mother before we head to the airport. She was lucky and got her gifts early due to her heading into surgery last week.
I'm not really into Mother's Day as an occasion. I make a point to call my mom and I sent out cards already, but that's the only non-typical thing I do. I'm in the happy position of being treated well by my family all year, so MD just isn't special for me.
I wanted to get some mom-friends together on Saturday to see the movie Mom's Night Out but the local theaters are not showing it. I'm seeing it is getting poor reviews anyway, so no loss.
