Hi Ladies! my Step-Dad is about to turn 56 and I am at a loss as for what to get him. He's the type of person who goes out and buys whatever he needs. He owns a title company so he spends a lot of hrs in the office all week. On the weekends hes outdoors a lot, on the go constantly. Next month he is going to be heading out west to go elk hunting. I asked my mom what he needs and she said she doesn't even know what to get him and he just went out and bought himself a bunch of stuff! I know he doesn't need any type of clothing and he has tons of ties. I already got him a picture frame from my girls that says I love Grandpa! for his office. I love to be crafty and would like to make him something but I can't think of anything. I'd like to pick your brains, What do you get the men in your life that have everything?!? TIA :)

How about a donation to Heifer International? It's not tangible but I've been amazed at how happy my relatives were to know that another family would have a chance at a better life because we donated a goat or a water buffalo or three chickens in their name. For people who have everything, sometimes giving back feels really good.

if you go to pinterest and look up "father's day" there are some great personal ideas.

one thing i did this year for my husband, which might work for your step-dad, i had my son hold the letters to spell out "Dad", and then went to walgreens.com and made a collage and put it in a frame. you could do that with your kids and "grandpa" or whatever they call him. i put the pics in black and white, and when i took them, i encouraged him to be silly, make faces, etc, so it was very unique to our son's personality. my husband CRIED. literally. it was SOOOO easy, and probably the best gift he's ever gotten. i suggest it!

He sounds very much like my father... small business owner, mid-50's, sportsman, outdoorsman...

Last year for his birthday we gave him a gift card to have a "Gentleman's Spa Day" and he LOVED it! It was a 20 minute massage, manicure and hot towel shave. We also gave him a gift certificate to have his car detailed. Both are a little pricey, but when you have "everything"... sometimes it's nice to have someone give you an "experience" rather than a "thing".

look for a "hunting" themed frame that he will hopefully have a picture to put in when he gets back from the hunt. Another option would be a hunting photo album. Since you're crafty, you could design the pages and all he'd have to put in are the pictures.

Cabelas has some cool wallets with a shotgun shell or camo. They also have some nice sweatshirts. Even a new Underarmor shirt for his trip???

Maybe make him a 'camo' print blanket or something...for when it's cold and he is huddled up waiting/hunting?

My favorite go to gift for the person who has everything is personalized coffee mugs. Walmart.com or several other places that print pictures have some really awesome gifts that you can add pictures and words to. I've had rave reviews over the 20 oz. to-go mugs that I've ordered. some have collages, some are single pictures... you can add names or captions. They also have just regular coffee mugs too, as well as other items (t-shirts, sweatshirts, blankets, key chains, etc.) and they also have these glass lazer printed items like paper weights or ornaments. Tons of options. Very affordable and totally unique. I've gotten them for grandparents and for my husband, and everybody loves them. Have fun shopping.

I'm dealing with this right now. My husband says he has everything he wants or needs. He's content with everything we have. His birthday is in January and I'm hoping to plan a trip to Vegas for him and 4 of his friends. I only have to pay for his portion of the trip, which when shared with others is reasonable. Does he like fishing or anything like that? Maybe you could arrange for a fishing trip or something like that.

Good luck in finding something! I know how hard and frustrating it is! *hugs*

For the man who has everything, give intangible/ consumable gifts:
massage, shooting instruction, a gift certificate for a taxidermist, a book of jerky recipes, a fine cognac/ cigar/ cheese/ beer of the month club, mixes for his favorite cookies, oatmeal, coffee beverage.

gifts to charity, if he's got one he supports, or ones which are near and dear to your heart are good.

give the gift of laughter or entertainment- 2 tix to a comedy club, a favorite restaurant, a ball game or a show.

good luck to you and yours,
