All you want to feed at this age is baby food. My ped. told me to introduce vegetables first from light to dark (ie: squash, sweetpotatoes, carrots, then greens) because the darker ones are harder to digest. Introduce all foods for 3 days to test for allergies before you move onto another. When you get through the veggies, then move to fruits. By the time you get through all the foods in a couple months, you'll be ready for 2nd foods etc. The reason my doc said to do vegetables 1st is so they develop a taste for them instead of the sweetness of fruit. It must be true b/c my 2 year old is a vegetable nut!! (my hubby and I are NOT). Stick with baby food and cereal for a while.
