I L. My name is K. I am 32 years old and I also have a 2year old son. Your son may like the Please Touch Museum. They have different things there that he can touch and learn about. There is also a SEPTA bus and a trane that he can actually get in and he can be the driver. If you need more information about the Please Touch Museum. lf you want more information about the museum look at their web site.

Hope this helps.

I vote for the Elmwood Zoo. If not that How about Helicopters.
There is a "The Helicopter Museum " in West Chester. ( not open on Mondays but very inexpensive)

I have a 2 yr old boy and an 18 month girl. Recently we were exploring birthday party places near Havertown and came up with a bunch of neat places to visit that are economical and fun.
1. Helicopter Museum in WestChester, PA...$5 and they can climb on them, and there is great toddler area to play in.
2. Merry Place In Glendale Park, on Glendale Road in Havertown: Park with a giant sandbox, and train playground, and fort to climb on.
3. Train museum on Rt. 3, WestChester Pike: Haven't been yet, not open all the time, but it looks cool and could be free!
4. Elmwood Park Zoo: Cheap, smaller zoo, that isn't packed with people in Norristown. The zookeepers always have a special exhibit and love teaching kids about the special animals for that day.

Hope that helps!

There is a place called "Northlandz" in Flemington NJ. I live in Norristown and it takes about an hour to get there (if you need directions, let me know). I've never been but I drive past it everytime I go to see my family. I've heard really good things about it. It's a museum-like place about the American Railroad. Check out their web site for more info: www.northlandz.com. It's relatively inexpensive, $13.75 for adults and $9.75 for kids 2-12.
Another cheap place to go with a 2-year old is the Zoo. Again, I've never gone to Elmwood Zoo but I've heard it's a really nice zoo. It's located in Norristown and I believe it's $5 to get in. I've been wanting to take my 4 yr old godson but we haven't made it there yet. They also have a web site but I don't know the address.

I hope this helps a little. Good luck and if you visit either places, please let me know how they are.

If you are in the Philly area, you can sometimes get free passes to Please Touch Museum at the library. The art museum is free on Sundays and sometimes have activities for kids. You can also pair up with other families who have memberships to zoos and other areas.

Good luck.
