I have recently become a stay at home Mom and don't know what to do with my 20 month old. I would like to get him into some sort of program or classes me or my husband can attend with him. Please any ideas are welcome...this is all new to me!

What can I do next?

Like the previous poster.....check a local library. The toddlers love the kids area and you can spend time reading books or attend a toddler story time. Also, check Pottery Barn kids...they do a story time on Tuesday morning...and Gymboree classes. All programs will welcome you and your husband

Have you ever tried a Gymboree class? They are soooo much! My 2 year old absolutely loves it! I go to the Willowbrook location but I know that there is one in the Galleria area and one near Memorial/Dairy Ashford. They have all kinds of classes for children under five years old. My daughter loves the Gym class and I recently tried out a music class and she seems to really enjoy that too. They will let you try out a class to see if you like it first and the monthly tuition is so reasonably! Look up their schedule and give them a call www.gymboreeclasses.com

I have a three year old. We have gone to Gymboree since my son was 3 mths old and he still can't get enough of it! I obviously completely agree with Sydney's posting. I have never been to Little Gym or Kindermusk so don't know to much about them. I take my son to local librarys, childrens museum, and the zoo is also a good place now that it is a little cooler.

Check out storytime at your local library- they have different meeting times for different ages and it's free. You can check their website or talk to children's librarian for meeting times.

Also check meetup.com and yahoo groups for playgroups in your area. Also International MOMS club and MOPS may have programs nearby too depending on where you live.

There are dance and music classes for toddlers like Little Gym and Kindermusik, though I've never tried them myself.

I just recently became a stay at home Mom as well. I also am looking for some activities to do. Although my son is only 6 mths old, I am looking for some fun things to do. Keep me posted and I will let you know of any ideas I have.
