Why do you write one-liners? And what does having a twin have anything to do with anything? What possible help do you think people can give when you write like this?

If this is a real question, start over...

Mine all did that around that age. If you mean when they arch their backs and then their head goes backwards. I'd almost loose my grip on them and sometimes they'd bonk me in the chin if I wasn't careful. I was always told they were just learning they could control their bodies and sometimes they would do it if upset. Check with your doctor. Mine never hurt themselves.

I'd think there might be a muscle issue and she's having trouble holding up her head.
Talk to your pediatrician about your concerns.

going to assume that you want to know what to do when 10 month old baby throws her head backward till she hits something but only when shes upset? well don't let her get upset. she has needs, meet those needs, play with your kids, and she should grow out of it. my dd would throw herself on her back tantrum style and kick and scream if she didn't get her way. she grew out of it. when i thought a fit was about to happen i would aim a pillow on the floor behind her to cushion her head. she did this for nearly 2.5 years and is just recently finding a better way to handle not getting her way. (she is turning 4 this month and now prefers to bury her face in her lap and pout)

She will grow out of it, but in the meanwhile, put her somewhere safe and cushy. My daughter woke up in a fit at 1 year old and threw herself back on her dresser. That cost a midnight visit to the ER and a staple to the back of the head. I left her in her room on the floor for one second while I went to get a pillow to lie on the floor with her.
