I'm thinking that my boys and I will go with my husband to Waco tomorrow. My husband will be in Waco to work so we would drop him off around 9:30 and have the day to do some things. I don't want to spend much money so I'd like to hear all of your great ideas so that we can stay busy and have a fun day out of the house!! Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

The Texas Rangers Museum is in Waco as well as the Dr. Pepper Museum. It was quite a number of years ago but I don't remember either being pricey. Go to the State of Texas website, I bet they have their Texas Travel Guide online these days, should tell you everything there is to see and do in and around Waco. There are a ton of small towns down there, you may find something that is not in Waco proper.

There's a children's museum that is a part of a bigger museum on Baylor's campus. I'm sorry I forgot the name of the museum. It is near a Sports Museum. You might check their website.

The Zoo is nice if the weather cooperates.

I haven't been yet, but my BIL's family lives in Waco and has recommended the Cameron Park Zoo to us on more than one occasion. I don't think it's terribly expensive, but I don't know if the weather will be cooperative for you. And the Dr Pepper museum was a fun stop on a road trip we took once. That was few years back though...we haven't been recently.

Me and my husband are both from Waco. It is sad to say that there isnt much to do in Waco.

You can visit the Camron Park Zoo which is very nice. My DD loves the fish! But it is going to be VERY COLD tomorrow!!! I wouldnt reccomend it due to weather.

You can visit the Dr. Pepper Musuem or Ranger Musuem - I have not been to either and I lived in the town for 14 years.

I would say go see a movie...
