What to Do About Leaky Breasts?

Ok, this is a little weird to post but I need help! I breastfeed my baby girl. I breastfed my older kid for a few years and I've always been leaky. I have come to the point where I'm really sick of it! I plan on nursing my girl for a lot longer and would love to find a solution. In addition to being really leaky, I'm really small too. When I'm not nursing, I'm an ''almost'' A. Now I'm a regular A. I quit wearing a nursing bra as I could not find one that fit properly, they were all too big and really just annoying. I wear camisole shirts with the built in shelf bra and stretchy straps. The nursing pads I've been using (Lansinoh) do a good job but are so big! They're really too big to put in my shirt without being so obvious. I tried some smaller ones (Evenflo) but they weren't contoured and they were purple so they showed through. I recently bought some cotton reusable ones but soaked through those (and my shirt!) within an hour. I also tried the lilypadz which were great, until I nurse my baby and the minute I take them off my poor little breasts just gush. Am I just doomed to have milk stains on my shirt until my girl weans? I would love any recommendations anyone out there has!! Thanks so much :)

What can I do next?

I was able to find nursing bra's in my size at www.figleaves.com You can select a particular size and style, like nursing, and it will show you all available bra's in your size. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Sounds weird maybe, but you can cut a panty liner in half. It worked pretty good for me, and in the end is relatively cheaper. You get more out of a box that way. They wouldn't be contoured either, but the size and thin way they are made helped "hiding" them.

Something that worked for me was a padded bra. I didn't use a nursing bra - used my padded bra and put nursing pads inside the cups. Because of the padding, they nursing pads didn't show through. When I nursed, I just "lifted" myself out of the cups and fed my baby.
Hope this helps!

Try sucking on some peppermints. I know it sounds crazy but it will help. Just don't go overboard because it can also dry up your milk. It's a tip I got in a child birth education class from a doula.

It's just a thought but you know those mini-pads aka day-liners? I wonder if you could use those and obviously cut them in half or in a circle. Depending on the amount of how much you leak, you may have to change them a few times. Find the shape you like. Cut , say, 5 or 6 at one time, stacked. Put them in a small ziplock in your handbag. When you feel your 'full', go to restroom, take off old one, (it will stick too to stay in place) and change your pad.

You could also contact La Leche! They are the best for nursing moms!

It sounds like you need a little more support to help stop the flow. How bout a NOT TO TIGHT sports bra. with the pads you like best.

I really like the Gerber Ultra Thin nursing pads. They are disposable and you do have to change them every so often, but they are thin and don't show too much with the right shirt/bra, and they have worked at stopping leaks for me. If it's not too hot, you might also try layering your shirts (like a tank under a T or whatever), I've found this helps hide the pads and also is an extra "buffer" in case there are any leaks! This also just made me wonder if you are getting uncomfortably full or just leaking? Because if you're getting ucomfortably full, maybe you need to nurse/pump more; OR take measures to decrease your supply a bit. As someone else mentioned, La Leche League is great for breastfeeding advice of any sort!
