This year we took a 15-night Disney Cruise to Hawaii (sailed out of LA, 5 days at sea, 4 days in Hawaii, then 5 more days at sea back to LA), followed by 5 days at Disneyland! Most amazing trip so far!

We have a time share on Block Island, which is just off the coast of Rhode Island near Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Love being able to go back the same week every summer and look forward to it all year.

My fav vacation was the one where hubby proposed to me. He lived in Dublin, so I went over and we did a 12 day driving tour. I had to drive, since he didn't' have a license, and we had no real destination. We just road tripped to where ever for 12 days. It was raining with lots of fog, and just a beautiful dream.

I also like go to the Shore.

it was a year ago and we went on a Disney Cruise to the Mexican Riviera. The nice thing about it was it was super relaxing and so much fun. The only time I was worried or even had a care was when we went on an excursion and left our kids on the ship. I knew they would be fine. It was just that the adults were going to MEXICO and simply being separated and Mexico doesn't have the best reputation with tourists right now. There is so much to do and enjoy even if it is hanging out by the pool.

My favorite vacation was with my wife when we spent 8 days in Jamaica last year for our 38th anniversary. We had a wonderful time. We stayed at a small resort in a cabin about 50 feet from the water. We went swimming all day, every day except for the two tours we went on. We bought fish from the local fishermen and cooked them up on the stove in our cabin. One fisherman sold us 3 large fish and two lobsters he caught for $30. We had the lobsters for our anniversary dinner. The only time I really got out of my swimsuit was when we went to church on Sunday. The water was crystal clear and as warm as tepid bath water. At night the stars were so visible, because of the lack of light pollution from the city. The water (Gulf of Mexico) had some plankton in it that would give off light when disturbed so when you went swimming after dark it was a light show with every movement. If you plunged your hand under water the bubbles coming up would give off vibrant colors as they floated to the surface. There was a full moon and when it rose, it was fantastic. It rose right over a small island and back lit the island. It was like a Hollywood set, except it was far more beautiful because it was real and because I had a beautiful girl in my arms.

My favorite family vacation was when we took a cruise as a family to Alaska. It was a 7 day trip from Vancouver to Seward and on to Anchorage. We were gone 11 days and had a wonderful time. We went on a train ride up the Yukon and saw so many historical thnigs I had read about. It was on Princess Cruise lines and they made us feel like Dignitaries, not passengers. We were celebrating out anniversary and they went out of their way to make us feel special. They had a fantastic kids program. We had a blast.

Good luck to you and yours.

one of my fave's was my "honeymoon" (which was a 3 day weekend, for our 3rd anniversary lol) because it was just me and hubby and we splurged on a really nice hotel. our anniversary is dec 30th so everything was decorated for new year's which was really cool. also, the long weekend i took to visit him in atlanta one year and he proposed at stone mountain under the fireworks.

a close third is every trip we've ever made to pensacola, florida. we have family there and it is the most perfect vacation spot in the world as far as i'm concerned. family, beach, amazing atmosphere...perfect.

I love the Smoky Mts & Gatlinburg. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! The beauty & serenity is amazing. A very soulful journey can be had in those mts. :) I also enjoyed the hustle & bustle of Gatlinburg....it simply felt "at home".

I also feel Peace & a sense of homecoming when I visit Silver Dollar City & parts of Branson. I began going there as a child....45+ years ago. My sons love visiting the park, & have been going 3-5 times each year since they were babies. It's our go-to weekend trip!

By this time next weekend, I'll be in Rio Rancho, New Mexico....just outside of Albuquerque. I can't wait! It's my 1st visit, & I'm looking forward to spending time with my niece at her new home....which backs onto the Rio Grande & the mts. I have great plans for this trip....& I believe in 2 weeks it will be part of my answer for your question!
