Preschool/daycare in Anchorage is incredibily expensive. The Teniana daycare program at the University is good, but not cheap. They can be kindof rigid with their rules about drop offs and picking up. Sunshine school out on Old Seward near O'Malley has been pretty good in the past and reasonably affordable. Sometimes some of the church based preschools are reasonable. THe one up at St. Mary's on the corner of Lake Otis and Tudor has been good in the past. I have 7 boys and the youngest is now 7 so it has been a couple of years since I looked for preschool programs. At the time, I ended up using a home daycare provider who was eager to do all kinds of learning activities with the handful of kids she was taking care of.
