What Support or Networking Group Would Wahms Benefit From?

I would think that recruiting women to be work at home moms would be a start. I, for one, would love to work at home, but would have no idea where to start or if a company was legit.

Also, create a facebook account for already existing WAHMs. By people suggesting friends, etc, you could build a large base. Also, a blog would likely be helpful. What about asking on here if there are other WAHMs in your area? Send out fliers with contact info on it.

I would also suggest looking in to Cafe Mom. You can set up a group that is local and can specify. I recently found a group in my area and it has been really cool meeting these ladies for coffee, play times etc.

What a great idea. A group with home based businesses would be great. I am a work at home mom with Scentsy wickless candles. A facebook group of WAHM's would be great, but I'm not sure how you would confine it to your area. Love the idea!

I would use Meetup.com and see if there's much interest. I'm a WAHM, but I'm in a professional field, so my interests are a bit different from those selling makeup or candles (I don't host parties or need to recruit new people into the business, for instance). I would define the goal for the group -- is it to sell your services/products to other WAHMs, share business strategies, discuss telecommuting challenges or create a way for WAHMs to connect around our busy work schedules and meet other moms?

I think that is such a great idea. There is so much stuff out there to sort through. I love this site too. I want to promote my own way of making money on the side without taking any time away from my son. A few months ago I joined a group and it is working. It isn't fast but it is growing and steady. I enter car tags into a database. Then I tell others about it. That's it. No products, no services to sell. I can write them down with my 15 month old in the car. A completely legit company (I did research) has created a way to store information to help find missing children and those who have stolen cars or failed to make their payments. If even one child is found, I am so glad to be a part of it. I have already received multiple checks. I told 3 friends, then they told and so on. Yes, like multi-level or Arbonne, only no products or services. Just 10 tags a month. I'm almost to my 4th level of people. Once you reach 5 levels, it is $4,500 a month.
