What Should I Read After Divergent,Insurgent & Allegiant?

I am a die-hard bookworm, & can't stand not having something to read.

One of my favorite series is the Sword of Truth series, by Terry Goodkind. It is a fantasy-based epic story with real-life themes, I couldn't put it down!

If you want a good stand-alone book, I also recommend Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett (with the sequel World Without End), and Space by James A Michener.

Pillars is an epic set in medieval england, & Space starts with the Air force, going through the launch of the Space shuttle. Both are historically based fiction stories, and very absorbing plots. They are also on my personal "read over & over & over again" list!

The House of Night series by PC Cast is a young adult vampire series that you might like. The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich are easy reads and quite funny. If you want to dive into more serious stuff, I love Tom Clancy (political thrillers), Michael Crichton (variety), and Patricia Cornwell (medical mystery/thrillers).

Sounds like you like series. Have you read Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor? It is the first of a trilogy, I just finished the last book and they are fun and well-written.

The mortal instruments series (city of bones, etc.) and the infernal devices (clockwork angel, clockwork prince, and clockwork princess) are two good series by Cassandra Clare. I read them as I was reading he divergent series. (Still waiting for Allegiant to be turned in at the library. Lol.)

I just barely finished he Vampire Academy series, and it was pretty good too. :)

The uglies series is a good one that others already mentioned.
I also like he House of Night ones, as well as the novellas. (Make sure you read thae after the series though.)

If you haven't read the Harry Potter series yet, I would HIGHLY reccomend it for the next set. Don't think that they are only children's books; they are great at any age and have quite a few underlying games that add depth for adults, without taking it too far over the edge for younger audiences. :)

Sounds like your style leans towards young adult fictional series.... so go to the bookstore and browse that section. There is a section devoted to young adult fiction. My daughter browses there every time we go.

She enjoyed Cinder of the Lunar Chronicles, too.

The Maze Runner trilogy is pretty good.

Based on what you have mentioned I think you would like the Matched series and the series that starts with Cinder. The Maze Runner series would also be similar.

I like the Sue Grafton series about a woman detective that starts with A is for Alibi. I also love the Number One Ladies Detective series about a woman in Africa who starts her own detective agency.

I just finished, House Girl. It is a beautiful book...one that will stay with me forever. Now I am reading 12 Years A Slave. OMGoodness...it is so fascinating.

Based on what you've liked, I suggest the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield.
Uglies, Pretties, and Specials is the original trilogy, then Extras has a new main character and set after the events that happened in the first three.

Have you read the Matched series? That is another young adult series...dystopian future kind of stuff.

the black daggar brotherhood series. There is also a series that is YA that I really the first book in the series is the tree sheperds daughter by Gilllian Summers. I also tend to read more of the YA (except black daggar series, its like twilight but for adults and way better) Harry potter is still one of my all time favorites. Janet Evanovich is always good. 44 by jools sinclair There are like 6 of those and the first 4 are good they started getting weaker as they progressed. The Shiver series by Maggie Stiefvater. I also like series because I'm not ready for the books or the characters to be done after one.

Project E.L.E is a good YA dystopian series.

If you like young adult,

Legend/Prodigy/Champion by Marie Lu - I haven't finished Champion, but the others are very good.

"I am Number Four" by Pitticus Lore is a good series. "I am Number Four" is the first book and the weakest. The other books are much better. The other novels in the series are "The Power of Six," "The Rise of Nine," " The Fall of Five" and (coming out in August) "The Revenge of Seven." There is also a series of novellas (about 60 - 70 pages each) that give very interesting background info on all the characters and events.

And if you haven't read Harry Potter, you really should. It's fabulous!

If you haven't read it yet, I have to second The Pillars of the Earth! This is the book I judge all others by, it is SO good!

I just finished the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan and it was great! I know it is for YA but I like them anyway. I am in the middle of the Heroes of Olympus series, which follows the Percy Jackson one. I would say its just as good.

You got a lot of good suggestions here. I was thinking of checking out the Divergent series next.

Sounds like you're (mostly) enjoying YA - which is something I like too. I can recommend Incarceron by Catherine Fisher and I've also heard good things about Cinder - although I haven't read that one. Also I loved the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore. :)
