I ditto the dollhouse - my 7 year old still LOVES her dollhouse and so do all the kids that come to play aged 1 to 10+! It is something they can both use - you can add to over time and you will have for a long time!
I love the Loving Family one as well!
I have 6 & almost 3 yr old daughters and a 4 yr old son. Do they like Legos? If so, the Belville line is very girly and super cute. The Lego store in Frisco has the dollhouse and TRU has the stable, horse jumping & puppy sets. All 3 of my kids will sit for hours and play Legos. Santa is bringing them a lego table (making it from an IKEA storage unit) and tons of Legos this year.
what about a art Easel even ad to their kitchen and maybe do a cash register or the mcdonalds food set. That has been great for my daughter. what about board games for their age. my daughter wasn't into a lot of stuff but, i bought it anyway just to expose her to different things. She played with it and I played with her to show her how to play, be a good sport and share! good luck!
Check out www.mybabycrazy.com. They have a ton of unique toys for that age range.
The fisher price loving family line of dollhouse and accessories is a must! With 4 girls in my house all under 9, it is for sure the best purchase we have ever made. It is played with ALOT!! They also love horses, so the loving family horse and stable set is a big hit. Happy shopping:)
