I have to get a minivan and am wondering which ones fit car/booster seats the best across the back seat? I'm going to be getting one of the vans with the dropped floor and the ramp for my daughter in her wheelchair but I need to be able to fit the other 3 kids on the back bench seat. I will also have another bucket next to my daughter for the new baby when we get one.
Thanks much,
J.

What can I do next?

I borrowed my cousins van last summer for a week. She has the Pontiac something or another. It seats 8 passengers. Most vans only seat 7. The backseat was typical not sure how many seats could fit and the middle seat was awesome you change it all around. Move the seats forward, backwards, take one out take two out or take 3 out. It was like 3 bucket seats but also worked like a bench. I was completely comfortable driving this as well.

I think the Grand Caravan has the most room. That's what we have ans when I pull up to other vans its longer. We can get depending on the type of seat 3 in the back and two in the middle. I think bench seats are easier when you have a bunch or car seats.

When we learned we were expecting twins and I already had a 9 month old at the time we started to hunt for a minivan that was wide enough to have 3 car seats across (in our case we wanted them all in the middle row for easy access but that would make the third row just as wide for your needs) and the only minivan that had a frame large enough to accommodate 3 seats across was either the Montana or the Chevy Venture (they are built on the same width frame) so we bought a Chevy Venture and we love it, our neighbors have the Montana and they really like theirs as well. All the "babies" (they are 1.5 and 2.5 now:) can fit across one row. As far as we could find those are the only 2 minivans on the market wide enough to do this. We also got the extended version that is (I believe) 4 inches longer than the regular version, we wanted this for more room in the far back to fit the double stroller. So I do believe we have the widest and longest minivan on the market and I really enjoy the space. I wouldn't even begin to look at SUV's b.c we were unable to find any that were wide enough and remotely in the price range of a new Venture
Hope that narrows down your search a bit.
