Those Marines absolutely knew, when they were doing it, that it was WRONG and against their code.
My husband is a Marine.
The marines were fully aware of the possible consequences for that type of behavior.
Now they're going to get the consequences.
In no way do those 4 Marines represent the rich history of or the behavior expected of the USMC.
The consequences will be swift and severe. More so than if they were in a regular court.
That's the chance they took.
No matter the "stress" they were under....not only was it inappropriate to videotape it, it was inappropriate to DO it. Cameras or not. If another soldier had reported it, they would be in the same position they are in right now.
Unbecoming behavior. Not unbecoming behavior because it was videotaped.
Gotta wonder about the IQ of those particular marines. :(
