Hi B.,
I think thats great. I pay my mom $125 for my 3 year old son. I have since the day he was born. It the running rate in my area for in home day care. I called around. Hope that helps:)
I am so lucky to have my mom keeping my son when I go back to work in August. I really want to pay her and make it fair, but I don't have a clue what the going rate is for daycare.

I have multiple friends paying their parents, and the going rate has been $15 per day. As they are a relative, I'm assuming you won't be filing taxes and such, so the lower rate makes sense.
Providers typically charge between $100 and $185 a week. I charge about $160.
I pay $105 dollars a week but that's only for 3 days. I have an in-home provider.
My mom watched my son for his first 14 months of life and I paid her $100/wk. He now goes to an in-home provider and I pay $125/wk.
I run an in-home daycare and I charge $30 a day ($120 a week).
I pay $150 a week for an in-home daycare.
B.,
Well your Mom probably isn't expecting anything or if any very little. If you really want to pay her something I say just 50 a week. I have done in home daycare and charge 75 a week. Like I said I'm sure she wont want much....just time with her grandson.
